Strata visualizes both the inherent meaning designed into monumental architecture as well as crucial aspects of 20th century German history, exemplified in diptychs made of and in the Poelzig Building, the former I.G. Farben headquarters. The photographic pairs tell of the misuse of power, of shifts in power, of occupation and loss and of the changing role of the humanities in western society.
